Why the Hell are Yous Here, Teacher!? (Japanese: なんでここに先生が!?, Hepburn: Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!? ) is a Japanese manga serial written and illustrated past Soborou. It has been serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Magazine since Apr 2016, and has been collected in eleven tankōbon volumes as of November 2020. Each volume features different pairs of female teachers and their male students every bit they inevitably end upwardly in awkward, embarrassing situations as they gradually become couples. Why the Hell are You Here, Instructor!? is written and illustrated by Soborou. The series was initially published in Kodansha'due south Weekly Young Magazine as a series of 1-shots under the title Golden Times.[2] It began serialization in the same magazine on Apr 24, 2017.[eight] Kodansha has compiled its chapters into individual volumes. The first volume was published on January half-dozen, 2017.[ix] Equally of November 6, 2020, 11 volumes have been released.[x] In August 2020, it was announced that the manga would be entering on hiatus due to the author Soborou's illness starting to worsen.[xi]

In June 2020, it was announced that BookWalker Global partnered with Kodansha USA to release Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!? in English language, and the showtime 3 volumes were released digitally on July 14, 2020.[12]

Anime [edit]

An anime television serial adaptation was appear in the 44th issue of Weekly Immature Magazine on October 1, 2018.[2] The series was directed by Toshikatsu Tokoro and animated by Tear Studio. Graphic symbol designs for the serial were done by Kazuhiko Tamura. Yūki Takabayashi and Yuri Fujimaru handled the serial composition, while Hiraku Kaneko served as principal director and Gin composed the music.[3] The series aired from April eight to June 24, 2019 on Tokyo MX, BS11, and AT-X.[43] [a] Sumire Uesaka performed the series' opening theme vocal "Bon Kyu— Bon wa Kare no Mono" ( ボン♡キュッ♡ボンは彼のモノ♡ ).[7] The series' ending theme is "Ringo-iro Memories" ( りんご色メモリーズ ), with Uesaka, Yūko Gotō, Shizuka Ishigami, and Nozomi Yamamoto each performing a version as their respective characters.[44] Sentai Filmworks licensed the serial for worldwide regions, excluding Asia.[45] The series ran for 12 episodes. An unaired episode was included in the anime'due south Blu-ray box, which was released on Dec xi, 2019.[46] On July 6, 2019, Sentai announced that they were producing a dub for the serial.[47]

Anime News Network reviewers had mixed reviews virtually the anime prove.
